This year, in the Slovene Ethnographic Museum, as part of the EU project / Creative Europe, under the title Dance as Intangible Cultural Heritage, we will open an occasional exhibition of the same name.
During this year's Carnival days, the representatives of the Slovene Ethnographic Museum/Coordinator for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Culture Heritage in the field documented several carnival customs that took place in different places across Slovenia. Ministrstvo za kulturo je 21. avgusta 2020 na predlog Koordinatorja varstva nesnovne kulturne dediščine vpisalo dve novi enoti – Solčavski govor in Ljubiteljsko gledališče. Register tako šteje že 84 enot in 237 nosilcev nesnovne kulturne dediščine.
On the 1th of December 2016 the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage adopted a decision to inscribe the Škofja Loka Passion Play to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
