At the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, an exhibition titled We are Living Heritage is on display between November 2023 and April 2024, which was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, which we celebrated last year. The exhibition presents a selection of intangible cultural heritage elements that reflect the richness of intangible cultural heritage from around the world. With two photographs, the intangible cultural heritage from Slovenia is also represented at the exhibition - beekeeping and the traditions of breeding the Lipizzan horses.
The nomination Beekeeping, a way of life and the multinational nomination Lipizzan horse breeding traditions were listed on the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in December 2022.
Beekeeping is presented with a photo by Blaž Verbič from the Slovene Ethnographic Museum, and the Lipizzan horse breeding traditions with a photo by foreign author Martin Kleibl.
