Below you can find a short description of an element listed in the Slovene Register of the Intangible Cultural Heritage

The Škofja Loka Passion play is a penitential passion procession based on the text by the Capuchin monk Romuald Marušič from 1721, which is staged at Easter time in the town of Škofja Loka.

The Škofja Loka Passion Play has been declared a living masterpiece of national significance.

The bearers of the element of the intangible cultural heritage are the Škofja Loka Municipality  and the Capuchin Monastery Škofja Loka.

The Škofja Loka Passion Play was on December 1st 2016 listed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
