Šamarjanka (Varsovienne) is a couple dance from the Prekmurje region with a two-fold structure: the first part is characterised by a repetitive performance of two side steps and a half turn, while the second part consists of repetitive half-turns to the left and right. It is danced to a tune in a three-beat mode.
