Making of trniči cheeses – small dried, pear-shaped cheeses – is characteristic of the mountain pastures known as Velika planina, Mala planina and Gojška planina in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. They are made from curd, cream and salt, and decorated using special wooden markers.
