Slovene Braille is a tactile writing system that enables blind and visually impaired people to read and write. It is read by touch. It consists of various combinations of raised dots in six- or eight-dot Braille cells, which can be used to represent letters, numbers, and symbols.


The bearers of the element of the intangible cultural heritage are (2):

1. Zveza društev slepih in slabovidnih Slovenije, 

2. Center za izobraževanje, rehabilitacijo, inkluzijo in svetovanje za slepe in slabovidne Ljubljana.
