Borovo gostüvanje is a traditional Shrovetide custom typical of the Prekmurje region. In a symbolic wedding with a pine tree, wedding and Shrovetidel customs are intertwined. Originally, borovo gostüvanje was performed only in villages where no weddings had taken place before the Shrovetide season.
