Lig Carnival is the Shrovetide custom in the Kanalski Kolovrat area and is known for its main figures, such as “the beautiful ones” and “the ugly ones, with masks of beaten aluminium. On Shrove Sunday, homesteads of seven villages are visited by Liški pustjé (carnival figures).
