On Friday, May 17, 2024, in the Belgramoni Tacco Palace in Koper, the Koper Regional Museum in cooperation with the Ethnographic Museum of Istria from Pazin opened the temporary exhibition THE INTANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF ISTRIA ON THE STATE AND UNESCO LIST, which will be on display until June 12, 2024.
The exhibition was on display for the first time already in 2019, and in 2024 new elements of intangible cultural heritage were added to it, which from the area of Slovenian and Croatian Istria were inscribed in the national registers and on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the date of the opening.
The photographic material for the presentation of intangible cultural heritage elements, which are registered in the Slovenian Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage, was contributed by the Slovene Ethnographic Museum, which performs the tasks of the Coordinator for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
