Join the dance workshop for youth and adults as part of the exhibition Dance – Living Heritage of Europe in Motion, where we will learn the Prekmurje dances sotiš and šamarjanka. The workshop will take place on 13. 2. 2025 at the Slovene Ethnographic Museum.
These are still living dances that are spontaneously danced in pairs on various occasions, e.g. at family gatherings, weddings, graduation balls and festivities. They have been preserved the longest in Prekmurje.
The workshop will be led by members of the folklore group of the Kulturno društvo MARKO Beltinci.
Applications are being collected until Wednesday, 12 February, at 12:00 at E: blagajna@etno-muzej.si.
The workshop will be held as part of the EU project Dance as Intangible Cultural Heritage: New Models of Enabling Participatory Dance Events, co-financed by the European Union's Creative Europe programme.
With this event, SEM joins LUV FEST 2025.
