FIELDWORK: Documenting International Folklore Festival in Beltinci

Last weekend (July 18-21), the 52nd International Folklore Festival took place in Beltinci, organized by the Beltinci Cultural and Artistic Society.


On Friday (July 19), three folklore groups formed an evening of foreign folklore. Performed by: Flor de Atalaia Group from Brazil, Gudenieku suites from Latvia and Kansemble group from the Netherlands.

On Sunday (July 21) afternoon, the celebration of Slovene folklore took place, where, as part of the meeting of adult folklore groups, with the participation of the children's folklore group of Beltinci Primary School, the sotiš and šamarjanka dances were also danced.
