The audiovisual contents in the permanent exhibition I, we and the others: images of my world
The article deals with the audiovisual communication in the three-part permanent exhibition of the Slovene Ethnographic Museum, focusing on the audiovisual messages of the most recent
exhibition I, We and Others: Images of my World. Audiovisual medium is used in diverse functions: scenery element creates the atmosphere, older documentaries witness to past periods, edited footage documents living annual customs, home video presents everyday and festive family life, narratives include fairy tales, life experiences, and life stories. A novelty is the mosaic portrait Vesna, which interprets the exhibition at an individual level and invites visitors to active participation. The conclusion summarises the strategies of the audiovisual communication in the permanent exhibition and on the website of the Slovene Ethnographic Museum.
