In his article The bishop Anton Martin Slomšek and the culture of clothing. The author analyses Slomšek's attitude towards those two elements of clothing culture to which he gave the most attention, i.e. the social significance and the cleanliness of peasant attire in Slovenia during his time (thefirst six decades of the 19th century).
